Cable Island is proud to present the 3rd annual Foster’s Cup and 2nd stop of the 2009 WWA Europe Wake Park Series (EWPS), September 4th-6th. International competitors will meet in Magdeburg for another showdown on the water and for their chance to earn cash prizes and the coveted overall series title. The wakeboarding season is well underway and the plans and preparations for a fantastic event are in full swing.

The idea:

On the initiative of Thomas Traversa & JB Caste (French pro riders) who wanted to meet their friends on a friendly wave contest by teams, a 1st event was created and took place on Fuerteventura (Canary islands) in March 2009, thanks to 7th Wave Center organization. The contest gathered some of the best international wavesailors on a competition launched in great conditions that have reached up to double mast high waves on the North Shore’s coast.
